Specific accountabilities:
 
The Senior Business Analyst, Treasury, is responsible for defining and formulating solutions for the Treasury sector. A skilled communicator, the candidate must be able to evaluate, design and recommend solutions based on evolving technologies that meet company standards for security, integrity and performance.
 
The position requires extensive technical knowledge and a strategic business sense. He or she must be able to define solutions that consider divergent perspectives (information, application, infrastructure and organizational requirements) and be qualified to advise information technology professionals.
 
The incumbent will work closely with clients, the development team and managers. He or she will be involved in the full solution implementation cycle and must ensure that adopted solutions are understood by everyone involved.
 
The Senior Business Analyst must be aware of best practices and able to play a role in improving the work methods of his or her team.
  • Design application architecture for every aspect of solutions.
  • Understand and redefine complex business needs.
  • Act as a bridge between those identifying a business need and the solution development process in order to produce solutions of the highest quality.
  • Assume responsibility for mandates; coordinate and participate in project activities, including system implementation, software assessment, data conversion, testing and training.
  • Produce required documentation such as a project charter, project status reports, solution descriptions, data modelling, etc.
  • Provide the framework and technical expertise required to support business analysts.
  • Oversee the work performed by programmer-analysts.
 
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science and eight years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the IT industry.
  • Proficiency with J.D. Edwards, SharePoint and client-server architecture.
  • Experience in implementing treasury systems.
  • Experience in system integration and deployment.
  • UML (Unified Modeling Language).
  • Traditional and agile development methodologies.
  • Positive attitude and a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Self-motivated, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
