Specific accountabilities:
 
Schedule : Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 11h00 am to 7h00 pm
Total of 19 hours/week
 
The incumbent is responsible for greeting clients and visitors, distributing information and monitoring access to the property: 
  • Closely monitor people (occupants, visitors, etc.) and goods coming into and going out of the building. Advise security staff of any unusual occurrences in this regard.
  • Direct visitors to their destination within the complex.
  • Provide information to visitors about local tourist attractions and events.
  • Ensure that the front desk is neat and orderly at all times.
  • Ensure that the integrity of public spaces is respected at all times. Inform security staff of any unauthorized solicitation, filming or photography; the presence of loiterers on the property; smoking in undesignated areas, etc.
  • Locate access cards not returned to the front desk by contacting the cardholders, visitors or occupants hosting the visitors to whom the cards were issued.
  • Distribute new access cards to occupants of the complex.
  • Ensure that brochures displayed at the front desk are available in sufficient quantities and reorder as necessary.
  • Monitor the video feed from the security cameras located near the front desk.
  • Act as a member of the property’s emergency response team in the event of an incident.
  • Replace absent co-workers (illness, vacation, etc.).
  • Carry out any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor or required as part of the job.
Key requirements
  • Secondary V (high school) diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to three years of related experience.
  • Excellent spoken and written French; excellent spoken English.
  • Outgoing, dynamic, customer service–oriented and punctual.
  • Ability to maintain harmonious relations with clients and co-workers.
  • Professional appearance and demeanour.
  • Courteous conduct at all times.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
