Specific accountabilities:




  • Participate in the national agreements process regarding the purchasing of stationery, including all the Company’s standard forms (cheques, invoices), cards and institutional stationery;
  • Overseeing all “special or customized” orders for office supplies and stationery in general;
  • Prepare the tender analysis grids by identifying similar items and their weighting;
  • Analyzing and evaluating suppliers under contract with the Company and also sourcing new suppliers;
  • Overseeing certain calls for tenders;
  • Verifying and correcting cost estimates, including the additional cost estimates prepared by Operations managers;
  • Participating in correcting and revising the additional cost estimates prepared by Operations managers;
  • Staying abreast of the latest information concerning by-laws, laws and minimum wages;
  • Providing support to property managers and assisting them in sourcing new procurement sources;
  • Informing managers of and enforcing the purchasing policy;
  • Participating in the development of a database to compare contract costs in collaboration with the coordinator (Benchmarking);
  • Overseeing reduction programs from suppliers;
  • Carry out all other related tasks requested by your immediate supervisor or required as part of your duties;


Key requirements

  • College or university degree in commerce and two years’ experience in purchasing and contract negotiation, or related experience;
  • Strong research and analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Logical and efficient, with the ability to quickly identify and evaluate problems;
  • Solid organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently, as well as in a team;
  • This position calls for a strong work ethic, as well as transparency, honesty and discretion;
  • Good listening skills and an ability to communicate clearly and accurately are essential;
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Juice, and be comfortable with computers in general;
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken) is essential
