Specific accountabilities:
Reporting to the Vice-President, Organizational Effectiveness, you will oversee the creation and implementation of training and organizational development programs. As such, you will design, execute, improve and fine-tune strategies, procedures, programs, policies and initiatives aimed at developing our human capital. You will assist internal clients, work closely with the entire Human Resources team, play an advisory role to management and provide support to our various platforms worldwide.
  • Create and implement training and development strategies, programs and tools in line with the Company’s strategic orientations and adapted to the particular needs of various divisions.
  • Analyze specific requests and needs related to employee training and skills development and ensure the implementation and maintenance of appropriate tools to accommodate these needs.
  • Ensure the ongoing improvement of corporate training programs and skills development initiatives.
  • Offer organizational development–related advice, coaching and orientation to Human Resources business partners, as well as learning, professional development and training solutions designed to cater to their clients’ needs.
  • Work with and advise the various IT teams concerning the development of training and change management strategies.
  • Establish partnerships with international service providers to develop and maintain a competitive range of training solutions to meet skills development requirements.
  • Select training service providers via calls for tenders. 
  •  Measure and analyze the impact of training investments on organizational performance.
  • Establish training-related performance indicators.
  • Track and analyze development operations in line with employee performance management procedures; identify needs and recommend the appropriate training activities.
  • Stay abreast of the latest training and development trends.  
Organizational development: 
  • Administer the organization-wide employee survey and analyze the findings.
  • Support Human Resources business partners and organizational units in executing change management projects.
  • Work with the internal communications team to promote corporate initiatives.
  • Complete and submit the application package for the best employers contest. 
  • Oversee the training and organizational team
  • Plan and monitor the training budget.
  • Negotiate agreements with outside training providers.                                            
Key requirements 
  • University degree in human resources.
  • Additional training in organizational or professional development (an asset).
  • CHRP designation (an asset).
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in a similar position within a large organization.
  • Experience in supervising employees and teams.
  • Strong communication skills in French and English (fluency required).
  • Experience in leading and facilitating group training activities.
  • Experience in identifying and assessing needs and developing effective performance indicators.
  • Familiarity with training providers and tools.
  • Ability to work independently, effectively manage priorities, multitask and perform under pressure, even in ambiguous situations.
  • Dynamic leader with keen business acumen, strategic vision and solid budget management skills.
  • Customer service mindset, dedication to high quality standards and on-time delivery.
  • Ability to adapt to new situations and embrace new approaches in a fast-changing environment.
