Specific accountabilities:
Reporting to the Marketing Director, Laurier Québec, the Administrative Assistant will:
  • Draft news releases, general correspondence, contest applications addressed to the la Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, partnership agreements, internal memos, reports and retailer notices.
  • Prepare quarterly retailer newsletter.
  • Coordinate special promotions, holiday activities, annual retailer meetings, golf tournaments and other events.
  • Coordinate the on-site promotional team at Laurier Québec.
  • Represent Laurier Québec at key events run by partners in Quebec City.
  • Prepare messages for the centre’s public address and digital signage systems.
  • Monitor and update all content on various electronic platforms (Facebook, mobile app, Pinterest).
  • Post monthly reports on the latest styles and “Sélections Laurier” to the website.
  • Approach retailers and partners in connection with various promotions.
  • Regularly update contact lists (media, head office, etc.).
  • Track newspaper and radio advertising placed by Laurier Québec.
  • Help edit ads and other promotional materials.
  • Prepare award nomination packages.
  • Attend Marketing Department meetings.
  • Liaise with the marketing agency.
  • Administer requests related to community kiosks and sponsorships.
  • Oversee the “Royaume du père Noël” holiday display.
  • Carry out any other tasks required by the immediate supervisor.
Key requirements
  • University degree in marketing or communications, or equivalent, plus three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and Photoshop applications.
  • Keen sense of priorities and strong organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken French and English.
