Specific accountabilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Management, the Advisor, Portfolio Management, is responsible for conducting quantitative analyses for portfolio evaluation purposes. Working closely with the Analyst, he or she monitors the existing portfolio and reviews proposed transactions. He or she develops analytical tools, interprets various findings, recommends further analysis when required and reports on the resulting conclusions. He or she also validates the execution of quantitative analyses carried out by the Analyst.
  • Analyze the information required to operate, update and calibrate portfolio management tools and databases; coordinate regular updates.
  • Analyze the results of portfolio simulations based on various scenarios; summarize the findings and highlight key issues.
  • Design and develop customized tools to measure returns and risks for the existing portfolio and potential transactions. Monitor this information on an ongoing basis.
  • Simulate and quantify the impact of portfolio returns and risks. Highlight challenges and propose solutions.
  • Validate the impact of proposed transactions in terms of compliance with investment policy.
  • Validate portfolio simulation results in relation to the business plan and strategic plan; identify potential challenges.
  • Help develop the portfolio management tool.
  • Carry out any other related tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.
Key requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance.
  • Three to five years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience in the real estate sector an asset.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and evaluation software an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in French.
  • Good command of English.
  • Ability to work productively in a constantly changing environment.
